Recommended Fragrance Levels

Skincare 0.25%
Bath & Body 0.5%
Hair Care 0.5%
Oils or Balms 1%

The percentages shown are intended as general guidelines only. Every fragrance has a unique scent profile, intensity, and performance, so the optimal fragrance level will vary by both fragrance and formulation. Some fragrances naturally have a much stronger scent throw and require lower usage rates, while others may need higher levels to achieve the desired fragrance strength. Fragrance may also influence product characteristics including viscosity, color, clarity, and stability. As a general rule, we recommend limiting fragrance to 0.5% or less in surfactant-based products (such as shampoos and body washes) to help maintain viscosity, while emulsion-based products (such as lotions, creams, conditioners, and body butters) can often accommodate up to 1%. Our recommended levels are designed to balance fragrance performance with product stability and should be used as a starting point rather than a fixed requirement.
