In-house graphic designers who know print.
Our graphic design team works exclusively with cosmetic and personal care packaging. They understand the technical requirements that turn a great-looking design into a label, carton, or silk screen that is actually ready for production.
Every file that leaves our studio has been reviewed for print specifications, compliance considerations, and material compatibility. No outsourcing, no guesswork.
What comes with your order and what you can add on

We transform your concepts into print-ready files
If you have a design from Canva or an AI tool, it is likely not yet print-ready and that is completely normal. Our Design Support service adapts your artwork to our dielines and prepares it for press. No new design work is included.
What replication covers
- Replicating your artwork to our dielines
- Color profile conversion to CMYK
- Resolution and bleed corrections
- Print-ready file setup and preflight
- Up to 1 round of minor corrections
Good to know
Even polished designs from Canva or AI tools are typically built in RGB for screen use, not CMYK for print. Resolution, bleed, and font handling all need to meet strict press standards. Our team handles that transition for you.
Replicate + Print Setup
Labels, boxes, or silk screen
$250
Per print item
Not all artwork can be adapted. Concepts that include intricate design are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, requiring additional consultation to reassess pricing.
Work directly from our print templates
Templates are intended for use by an experienced graphic designer with experience creating print-ready designs. Artwork that does not meet print specifications will be rejected and will need to be corrected or will need to move to Design Support ($250) before production can begin.

If submitted artwork does not meet print specifications, your project will be paused until the proper corrections are applied. You can correct it or we will work with you to correct it. A Design Support fee of $250 applies in cases where our help is required.
Print files have very specific technical requirements that differ from anything designed for screen. Here is what our press requires and why it matters.
File format
We require Adobe Illustrator (.ai) plus a PDF. All text must be converted to outlines so fonts do not rely on software on our end. All images must be embedded, not linked.
Color mode: CMYK
Screens display color in RGB. Printers use CMYK. A file built in RGB will shift in color when converted at print time. Note: Even though CMYK is best for print, we still can't always attain the vibrancy of some colors on screen.
Resolution: 300 DPI minimum
Images that look sharp on screen at 72 DPI will appear blurry in print. All placed images must be at least 300 DPI at the size they will be printed.
Bleed and safe zone
Bleed extends 1/8" beyond the cut line to prevent white edges. The safe zone is 1/8" inside the cut line where no critical text or logos should sit.
Vector logos and barcodes
Logos and barcodes must be provided as vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG), not JPG or PNG. Vectors scale to any size without losing quality.
Batch number space
Every label must include a designated space for a batch number, which we add during production. If space is not reserved, we will need to pause your project to address it.
Design guidance from our team
A few things we have learned after supporting hundreds of brand launches. Download the full Label and Packaging Design Guide for complete specs.
Set a minimum font size. Text must be at least 4pt. Any white text must be bolded, as fine white type can fade or disappear in print.
Limit your fonts. Stick to 2 or 3 typefaces for a clean, professional look.
Embrace white space. Overcrowded labels work against you. Your product name, brand name, and key claims should have room to breathe.
Check your contrast. What looks readable on screen can disappear in print. Ensure strong contrast between text and background, particularly for ingredient lists and regulatory statements.
Design in CMYK. Screen colors (RGB) and print colors (CMYK) are fundamentally different. Build your design in CMYK from the start.
Avoid gradient backgrounds. Gradients rarely translate well to print and can show banding or uneven transitions on the finished label.
Pantone values help, but are not a guarantee. Slight variation between digital and printed output is normal due to printer calibration and material differences.
Be thoughtful with dark backgrounds. Dark, solid backgrounds can sometimes show banding or surface imperfections. We will flag anything we notice at the proof stage.
Know what claims you can make. Terms like "dermatologist tested" and "clinically proven" require documentation. Avoid FDA drug-claim language such as "anti-aging," "fades dark spots," or "cell turnover."
Be careful with "natural" and "organic." Our formulations combine natural and safe synthetic ingredients, so blanket claims may not be accurate. Instead, position your line as clean and responsibly formulated.
Selling outside the U.S.? It is your responsibility to meet all local labeling regulations. Bilingual markets will require key information in both languages.
Working with Canva? Export as PDF Print with bleed marks enabled. Avoid built-in color effects as they often output in RGB. Our Design Support service ($250) handles the rest. Download the Canva guide.
Policies and timelines
All design work must be completed within 45 days of receiving your templates or initial concepts. Delays beyond this window may result in additional fees or, in some cases, cancellation of the order without refund.
Ink color matching is available at MOQ 1,000 and adds a minimum of one month to your production timeline. It must be requested at the time of ordering. All standard stock materials have a natural background color variation and our team can walk you through what to expect.
You will receive a PDF proof before every order. Review it carefully. Once you provide electronic approval, changes cannot be made and Pravada is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the approved artwork.
You are fully responsible for all label content, including ingredient names, claims, spelling, and required statements. View our regulatory resource guide and review FDA labeling guidelines before finalizing your design.
Have a custom font? Provide a download link when you submit your project. If there is a licensing fee associated with the font, it will be billed to you directly.
