The development fee covers R&D time, formulation work, and three rounds of samples: the initial version plus two revisions based on your feedback. It also includes our standard accelerated stability testing. If additional cosmetic-grade testing or complex formulation work is required, such as compatibility or preservative challenge testing, we’ll review the project scope and provide a clear estimate before proceeding.
The standard MOQ is 2,500 units per product, but the final quantity depends on the formula and packaging. Some simpler products, like oil blends or single-phase formulations, may qualify for lower quantities, while complex emulsions or multi-active serums may require higher minimums.
The full development and production process typically takes 6 to 12 months, depending on complexity. This timeline includes formulation, sampling, and a three-month accelerated stability cycle to confirm product integrity before full-scale manufacturing.
Yes. Through our Benchmark Formulation service, we can develop a new formula inspired by your provided sample or ingredient list. While not identical, we aim to closely match the texture, performance, and experience, refined to meet clean beauty standards.
Absolutely. We can formulate to meet your preferred standards, including vegan, natural, fragrance-free, or retailer-specific clean programs such as Sephora Clean, Credo, or Ulta Conscious Beauty.
Yes. If you provide comprehensive stability testing results and a complete tech transfer package, you may qualify for a partial credit of your development fee toward your first production order. Eligibility is reviewed during the onboarding process.
